A Hybrid Community
We’re here for you and your writing, if you hang out with us online, in person, or both! We started as a hybrid community–a private Facebook page with a monthly in-person write-in. During the Pandemic, we learned how to be a completely online community, including running TWO completely-virtual National Novel-Writing Months. We’ve learned a lot about how to maintain an encouraging and close community, even if we can’t be together all the time.
There are many ways to participate in our growing community: We offer active, private, moderated safe communities for our writers. Start by signing up for our monthly newsletter and joining our private Facebook community! From there, we are happy to share our Discord

Opportunities to Learn
Sampling of Classes We’ve Offered
Audience Building 101
For Writers Ready to Reach
Whether you want to go traditional or self-publishing, writers need a platform to create a relationship with their readers and reach them before their books come out! Taught by a local professional writer, writing coach, and consultant, this class taught Guild members how to begin building the basic platforms to reach their potential readers in meaningful ways well before the first release of their books.
Agent Ask-Me-Anything
Demystifying Querying
Want to traditionally publish a book some day? You’re going to have to talk to an agent some day! We’re so proud to have a strong relationship with a local New England literary agency to help us navigate the space! During this AMA, we asked questions about everything from what goes into a query letter to what the industry seems to love at the moment. We look forward to hosting these with different agents regularly!
The Art of SMART Goals
Because Overwhelm is Real
Being a “Guild” means we have opportunity to teach each other what we know This class, taught by a Guild member who works in HR, taught participants how to apply professional goal-setting strategies to our writing lives. We proudly offer two retreats a year where we invite industry professionals and Guild members alike to teach what they know to our writing community. What skills could you share?
