Getting Ready for Workshop with Mary Berman

New or early-career writers can often feel intimidated by the idea of workshop. But no fear: A MetroWest workshop merges moderated discussion with constructive critique, offering supportive energy, gentle accountability, and community.

In this one-hour session, we’ll introduce the format of the MetroWest workshop; discuss the benefits of workshop; and offer participants the opportunity to “test” workshop, using a short story from the facilitator. You will come away from this one-hour session with an understanding of the whys and hows of workshop, and with the confidence and eagerness to start workshopping your own work.
